Description
Crows Nest, The Cabin, and The Forecastle are a row of three dwellings built in the 18th century. They are constructed from rubble granite and have a rendered front. The roofs are covered with scantled slate, with 20th-century replacement slates on Nos. 2 and 3. Each dwelling features a central staircase plan and is two storeys tall, with a total of six windows across the front. The granite lintels above the doors include late 18th-century six-fielded-panelled doors for Nos. 1 and 3, and a mid-19th-century five-panelled door with a glazed top light for No. 2. The windows are mid-19th century or later, with a mix of horned and unhorned 2/2-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have 19th-century joists.
