Description

Two houses, 125 and 127 Meneage Street, were built in the early 19th century at the end of a row. They are constructed of roughly-coursed granite rubble with granite dressings and lintels. No. 125 has a roof of grouted scantle slate, while No. 127 has a replacement asbestos slate roof. The houses feature brick end stacks. They have a double-depth plan and present a symmetrical six-window range. No. 127 retains its original 16-pane hornless sash windows; No. 125 has 2-pane hornless sashes, which may be original sashes from which the glazing bars have been removed. Each house has a central doorway with a lintel that is higher than the surrounding window lintels. The doors and overlights are 20th-century replacements. The interiors were not inspected.
