Description
Nos. 111 and 113 on Meneage Street are a pair of small mid-19th century houses that form part of a terrace. No. 113, on the left, is finished in stucco and features a mid-floor band and a giant panelled end pilaster. In contrast, No. 111 has had its original stucco removed, exposing local rubble with granite dressings and shallow segmental arches. Both houses have a moulded stucco eaves cornice, an asbestos slate roof, and brick end stacks. They are designed as a double-depth plan and are mirror-image pairs, standing two storeys tall with a two-window range and a pair of central doorways. The windows are late 19th century four-pane horned sashes, and each house has a fretted wooden open porch with elliptical-arched doorways, although the doors have been replaced in the 20th century. The interiors have not been inspected.
