Description
Lytchett Minster United Reformed Church, formerly known as the Congregational Chapel, was built in 1824 and is located on the north side of Dorchester Road. The church features red brick walls with light brick dressings and a gabled slate roof topped with a crested ridge. It has a simple rectangular plan that runs at right angles to the road, with buttressed side walls. The entrance front includes a porch with a coped gable and a stone finial, along with a panelled round-arched door and two round-arched windows. The windows are round-arched and have double-hung sashes with glazing bars. There are 20th-century extensions on the west side that are designed in a similar style. The furnishings inside the church appear to be from the 19th century.
