Description
North Holton Farm House, including the front boundary wall and gate, is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century. It features brick walls, with the west wall partly covered in tiles. The hipped tiled roof has a central valley gutter and a parapet on the front wall, with brick stacks located on the central spine wall. The building has a double-pile plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The front wall is constructed in header bond and is adorned with a dentil cornice above the first-floor windows.
The entrance boasts a raised panel door set in a classical timber surround, complete with pilasters featuring acanthus capitals and an entablature that supports an open pediment. Above the door, there is a solid traceried semi-circular fanlight, and the reveals are panelled. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar windows. Inside, one of the ground floor rooms includes a contemporary fireplace surround. The roof on the west side has one nipped dormer.
The front boundary is marked by a low brick wall, complemented by an open timber fence and gate.
