Description
The Congregational Chapel, built in 1825 and altered in 1883, is located on Manor Road in Ullesthorpe. It is constructed of red brick and features a very shallow hipped slate roof with a cogged eaves cornice. The chapel has a regular arrangement of windows on the sides, consisting of three sets of three round-arched windows, each with three lights and a transom. The main facade displays three round-arched windows with drip-moulds, above a lean-to porch that has a dog-tooth cornice and three coupled round-arched windows in the center. The porch also has round-arched panelled doors on its sides. To the west, there are later 19th-century cast-iron railings on low stone-coped walls, adorned with fleurs-de-lys heads and dog rails. These railings flank the entrances and serve as lower railings to the front, supported by four stone-coped piers.
