Description

Ullesthorpe Mill is a windmill tower built by subscription in 1800. It features a round red brick structure with a batter and a slight bell-cast. The cap is made of creosoted iron and has a pepperpot shape with a rounded top and a finial. The drive-shaft is still present. There is a door on the ground floor facing southeast, with additional doors on the first and second floors to the north-east, all of which are boarded. The mill has various leaded casements on different floors, set in segment-headed openings. Inside, the machinery is mostly intact, including the shafting, wallower, spur wheel, grain nuts and shafts, bins, and hoists.
