LANGTON MATRAVERS Farm buildings at Wilkswood Farm, 30 m west of the former farmhouse

GV II

L-shaped range of farm buildings. Probably late C18. Rubble stone walls, roofs part tiled, part stone-slated. Projecting wing at left end, and left section of main range, a cow-house, has tiled roof. Range of stable doors and plain windows. Right of this a 2-storeyed cart-shed with granary over, also with tiled roof. Double doors on ground floor. Left door approached by brick and stone steps. Right of this a stable, of one storey and attic, with stone slate roof. Stable door and one larger door. Slatted window on ground floor. Loft door over in pent-roofed dormer. Right of this again an open shelter shed, with corrugated iron roof. 2 openings with central stone pier. Included for group value. A National Trust property.
