Description

Willey's Farmhouse and attached barns are 18th-century structures located in Compton Dundon. They are built from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, featuring a thatched roof with simple gables and brick chimney stacks at both ends and in the middle. The farmhouse is two storeys high with three bays. It has casement windows, with two-light small-pane windows below and a two-light window in the upper bay, as well as small three-light windows in the upper bays one and three. Between the first and second bays, there is a six-panelled door set under a timber and slated porch hood. Long farm buildings extend from both gables; the building to the southwest has two boarded doors facing the street, one designed for a stable and one set high. The building to the northeast is positioned at right angles to the house, and both barns are single storey and thatched. The interior has not been seen.
