Description

Twoleas is a detached house originally built in the early to mid 19th century, with an enlargement around 1908. The original section features plastered walls and a hipped slate roof with wide eaves and shaped brackets. There are plastered stacks in the center topped with moulded caps. The house is two storeys tall and designed in the Regency style. The main garden front, which was the original entrance, includes a glass-roofed verandah supported by iron columns with an ornamental frieze. In the center, there are a pair of French doors topped by a semi-circular fanlight. The ground floor has two sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar windows, with the center window being round-headed.

On the right end, there is a flat-roofed extension from around 1908, featuring a balustraded parapet. The large extension on the left end, also from around 1908, has pebble-dashed walls and a roof that is partly slated and partly flat. This section contains the current entrance and has casement windows with glazing bars. Inside, the original section retains moulded architraves and other joinery, as well as a cut string stair with moulded balusters and shaped spandril brackets.
