Description

A pair of terraced cottages dating from the late 18th and early 19th centuries, located on the south side of High Street in Langton Matravers. The cottages are built of rubble stone with stone slate roofs, and feature a brick central chimney stack. They are two storeys high. Number 47 has a partially glazed front door. The ground floor of number 47 has one sash window with glazing bars, and the first floor has two similar windows. Number 49 is similarly designed, but its ground floor window also has shutters. The property is documented in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments, Dorset Volume II, as Monument 21.
