Description
No. 55 on Ringwood Road is a detached cottage, probably from the 18th century. It features plastered cob walls and a hipped thatched roof, with a rebuilt brick stack at the left end. The cottage is one storey with an attic. The entrance has a ledged door, and the ground floor includes four 20th-century casement windows, two of which have diamond lead lights. The attic has two dormers with 20th-century casements also featuring lead lights. At the back, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension constructed to match the original building. Inside, the main room on the ground floor has a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and some exposed ceiling beams.
