Description
The house is a farmhouse, likely built in 1816, as recorded in the Royal Commission on Historic Monuments. It has brick walls and a thatched roof, hipped at the left end. There are two brick stacks, one at the right end and one near the left end. The house is two storeys high. Two porches have been added; they feature glazed timber upper walls set on brick bases, with slate gabled roofs and bargeboards, and include part-glazed doors. A blocked door is present at the right end, where a lean-to has been removed. The ground floor has four windows, each with a segmental arch and boarded up. The first floor has five casement windows with glazing bars. A parallel range has been added to the rear, with a slate roof, creating a double-pile plan, as documented in the Royal Commission on Historic Monuments record for Dorset, Volume V, Monument 11.
