Description

The George Hotel, located at 4 South Street, is an 18th-century building constructed from hammer-dressed stone. It stands three storeys tall and originally featured dentils and modillions along the eaves cornice. The façade includes three ranges of bipartite 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars, as well as a central Venetian window with glazing bars on the first floor. The hotel is part of a group that includes Nos 4 to 12 (even).
