Description

Nos 5, 5A, and 7 on South Street are probably from the 17th century or early 18th century and have been altered over time. The building is finished in stucco and stands three storeys tall, with a gabled top storey. It features three ranges of casement windows, with glazing bars on the first floor. The ground floor contains shops, and there is a central doorway adorned with a bolection architrave. The gutter is decorated with a lion's head ornament. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 9 (odd), the Bridport Arts Centre, and Nos 11 to 17 (odd), along with 17B and 17A, which are associated with the Greyhound Hotel on East Street.
