Description

This is a mid-19th century front applied to an 18th-century building located at 12 South Street. The building is stuccoed and stands two storeys high with attics. It features a moulded eaves cornice. The facade has three bays of sash windows, some of which are three-light. There are two gabled attic dormers and a parapet with recessed panels. The doorway is distinguished by pilasters with sunk panels and a cornice that is pierced to resemble dentils. This detail is comparable to number 77 East Street. Numbers 4 to 12 (the even numbers) form a group.
