Description

13 South Street is an 18th-century building, originally a public house known as the Cross Keys. It is constructed of stucco with a slate roof, and stands two storeys high with a flat string course along the eaves. The front features three sash windows with glazing bars. A modern shopfront has been installed. There is one attic dormer window. A sign depicting crossed metal keys is suspended from a wrought iron bracket above the first-floor window. The building forms a group with numbers 3 to 9 (odd), the Bridport Arts Centre annexe, numbers 11 to 17 (odd), and 17B and 17A, as well as the Greyhound Hotel on East Street.
