Description

Nos 15, 17, and 17B on South Street are early 18th-century buildings constructed from hammer-dressed stone, topped with a pitched slate roof. They rise to three storeys and feature four ranges of sash windows with keystones, while the second floor includes glazing bars. The buildings have modern shopfronts. Both Nos 15 and 17 have red brick extensions at the rear, which are separated by a stone-flagged passageway. No 15 has sash windows with glazing bars, while Nos 17 and 17B have casement windows with glazing bars. These properties are part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 9 (odd), the Bridport Arts Centre, and the Greyhound Hotel on East Street.
