Description

This is an early 19th-century building on West Street. The first and second floors were reconstructed after bomb damage during the Second World War, replicating the original design. It is built of red brick, with a horizontally rusticated ashlar ground floor. The roof is slate, with coped gables. The building is three stories high. It features a door with six fielded panels and an oblong fanlight. There is an early 20th-century shopfront. The windows are ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. The building is set within a group of six buildings, numbers 2 to 16 (even).
