Description

Nos 1 and 3 on North Street are late 18th century buildings constructed of colour washed brick with a hammer dressed stone plinth. They feature a pitched slate roof and stand two storeys tall. The front has three ranges of casement windows with glazing bars. There is also a contemporary bowed shop front with glazing bars, which is sheltered by a slate pent roof that extends over the adjacent door. These buildings, along with Nos 1 to 7 (odd) and the former stables of the Royal Oak Public House, form a cohesive group.
