Description
The Masons Arms Public House is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick with a hammer-dressed stone plinth and a hipped slate roof. It features a 19th-century red brick chimney stack and stands two storeys tall. The building has two ranges of sash windows with glazing bars, although one ground floor window has been replaced in the 19th century. The entrance includes a modern door with a blind semi-circular fanlight above, along with a blind panel above that. On the north elevation facing Rax Lane, there are two ranges of sash windows with glazing bars and one six-panel door with a blind semi-circular fanlight. The Masons Arms is part of a group of buildings that includes Nos 13, 15, 19, and 31 on the south side, as well as several other structures in the vicinity, contributing to the area's historical context.
