Fresh Start Cottage Wishing Well Cottage

Wishing Well Cottage (No.174) and Fresh Start Cottage (No.176) are a pair of cottages, possibly originally three, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed of rubble with brick dressings and have thatched roofs. The cottages are two storeys high and feature four windows in total, arranged as two pairs of two-light small-pane casements. The ground floor windows have brick haunched segmental heads, while the first floor windows of No.174 are original, and all others are replacements. To the left, there is a 20th-century tiled gabled porch over a 20th-century door, and to the right, a 19th-century plank door is located under a flat hood supported by wrought-iron brackets. There are stacks on the left gable end and on the ridge to the right. The rear of the cottages has flat-roofed 20th-century additions. The interiors have not been inspected.
