Description
The Wilkens Monument is a small headstone located approximately 8 meters north of the north door of the Church of All Saints in Wyke Regis, Weymouth. Made of Portland stone, it commemorates Elizabeth, the daughter of Joseph and Edeth Wilkens, who died in 1702. The headstone features a thick design with a rounded top and a sunk panel displaying bold lettering in capitals. Positioned very close to the east side of the pathway, it is currently leaning backwards towards the path. This monument is one of the earlier examples in the churchyard, and the inscription remains in remarkably good condition.
