Description
This 18th-century cowhouse is located on Cogan’s Farm. It is constructed of rubble walls with stone quoins and has a roof of Roman tiles. The building features a longitudinal entry passage along the front wall, with a regular arrangement of a door, window, window, door, window, window, and door leading into cow stalls arranged at right angles to the building's length. The interior demonstrates an aisled construction, with tie-beams and collars to each truss, and a longitudinal aisle-plate. A continuous sloping roof extends over the aisle posts to abut the lower front wall.
