Description
New House Farmhouse is a 18th-century farmhouse with rubble walls that are plastered. It features a thatched roof with stone-coped gables and a brick stack at each gable. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range, with 18th-century sash windows on the upper floor and 20th-century metal casements below. The front door is centrally located and is a six-panel door with glass in the top two panels. The door has wooden jambs with three matching panels and an architrave that has multiple moulds and a plain head. Inside, there is a fireplace with a lintel made of a shallow-chamfered wooden beam, and the fireplace has neo-classical fluted details from the late 18th century. Six-panel doors are also present in the interior.
