Description
Manor Farmhouse, along with the attached cider house and stables, is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century with 19th-century alterations. It features rubble walls with stone quoins and a roof made of corrugated iron and slate, complete with stone-coped gables. There are brick stacks, one on each gable and one centrally located. The building has a longhouse plan with a rear extension at the east end, giving it a double depth. It stands two storeys tall and has five windows. Two of these are stone-mullioned with cavettos and labels, while some windows have iron frames with leaded panes, and the rest are wooden casements. The right end of the farmhouse has half-dormers with barge boards and slate roofs, and there is a very small lancet window that lights the fireplace. Inside, there is a wide cross-passage and deep-chamfered beams, some of which have filletted stops. The windows have recessed shutters. The attached cider house also has rubble walls and stone quoins, along with a stone pier. The stables, which have a loft above, feature rubble walls, brick quoins, and a tile roof, with square windows that have wooden frames.
