Description
Lower Holditch Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century and later. It features rubble walls with stone quoins and dressings, and has stone gable copings. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there are stone stacks with classical cornices at each gable. The building is currently in an L-plan configuration due to a 20th-century extension wing that is at right angles to the original house. The farmhouse has two storeys and three windows, which are stone mullions with cavetto mouldings and labels, fitted with iron casements that include glazing bars. The doorway has stone moulded jambs and a head, topped by a stone portico on brackets, leading to a 20th-century glazed door with small panels. There is an outshut at the rear.
