Description

Ivy House Farmhouse is an 18th-century detached farmhouse, extended at a later date. It is constructed of rubble-stone walls, clearly showing a straight joint down the centre of the building. The roof is thatched, with gable ends, and includes a pitch-door in the south gable. There are three brick stacks: one at the left-hand gable, one at the centre of the ridge, and a further stack to the right along the ridge. The farmhouse has two storeys, with four windows on the front elevation. These are 20-pane sash windows with glazing-bars, set within flush wood frames and cills. A two-light iron casement window is situated on the ground floor to the right. There are three doors: a 20th-century glazed door with a gabled canopy to the left of the centre, another 20th-century glazed door to the right of the centre, and a plank door with wood framing towards the right-hand end of the building.
