Description
The Digby Estate, located on Oborne Road, is a late 17th century or early 18th century L-shaped stone farmhouse that has undergone exterior alterations. It features a continuous range along Oborne Road with an outhouse to the south-west. The original stone slate roof has been replaced with a modern plain tile roof. The entrance front faces the railway, with the south-east wing showcasing five 2-light wood casements with small panes above and two large k-light wood casements with small panes below. There is a six-flush panelled door at the right end. The south-west wing consists of one bay over two storeys and an attic, featuring a modern casement dormer and two 2-light wood casements, one on the first floor and another on the ground floor. The property is part of a group that includes Beech Cottage, the garden gate, the boundary wall to Beech Cottage, Castle Farmhouse, and other structures, creating a cohesive architectural context along Oborne Road.
