Description
Stone House is a detached house dating from the 18th century. It features rubble-stone walls with dressed stone quoins and has asbestos slate roofs, which are finished with stone gable-copings and kneelers. The house has brick stacks at the gable ends and is two storeys tall with dormers. The front façade includes three windows, which are three-light wood casements with horizontal glazing-bars, and wood cills and lintels from the 19th century. There are also two three-light dormers added in the 20th century, featuring metal casements and glazing-bars, with asbestos slate gabled roofs. The central front door is a plank door with one glass light, also from the 19th century, and has a wood lintel above it. At the east and west ends, there are single-storey rubble-stone ranges, with the west end converted into a garage and covered with corrugated asbestos roofing.
