Description

Three table tombs are located 2 to 5 metres east of the chancel in Netherbury. The first tomb is made of white stone and features fielded-panel corners. It commemorates "Frances wife of John Horner Gen. of Furle," although the date of her death is illegible. The second tomb is dedicated to "John Brodrepp of Yondover Gent. Younger son of Richard Brodrepp of Mapperton Esq. died 14 May 1690." This tomb has rounded ends and displays the Brodrepp coat of arms carved on the east end, with panels that have double-bolection mouldings. The third tomb honors "William Purchase, husband of the aforesaid Joane Purchase," who died on January 29th, 1829, at the age of 82, though the remainder of the inscription is illegible. This tomb features two flush panels on each side.
