Description
There are two table tombs located 6 meters south of the chancel in Netherbury, dating from different periods. The first tomb, from 1789, commemorates Robert Conway, a gentleman aged 52, and his son Richard, aged 32. It also notes the death of Robert's wife, Elizabeth, in 1813. This tomb is made of white limestone and features coupled shields on each side, with triple-respond corners, capitals, and bases. The second tomb dates to the late 17th century and has inscriptions that are now illegible. It includes ovolo-moulded panels and some foliage on the sides, with a hipped top block that has rounded corners. This tomb is partly sunken into the ground.
