Description

The Chantry is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It features stone walls that are rendered and a slate roof with gable ends and a hipped bay at the front. The building has two storeys and five sash windows with glazing bars. The front door is located to the right of the centre and has two deep panels, topped by a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars arranged diagonally. The front garden is enclosed by rubble-stone walls with stone copings that ramp up to the gate, which has reset ball finials from the 19th century.
