Description
There are three table-tombs located 14 metres east-north-east of the Parish Church.
The first tomb is made of white stone from the 18th century, featuring fielded-panel corners and carved coats of arms on either end, dedicated to Elizabeth Banger, who died on March 14, 1725. The second tomb, also from the 18th century, is made of white stone with bulbous corners and commemorates John Squibb, late of Compton Abbas, who died on June 4, 1763, and his wife Anne. The third tomb dates from the early 18th century and is a large Baroque tomb-chest with tapering-panel sides and bulbous ends, resting on moulded feet, and has a moulded top-block, although no inscription is visible.
