Description

Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It features ashlar stone walls with a chamfered plinth and a thatched roof with stone gable copings, including a ball finial on the south gable. The building is arranged in an L-plan and has two storeys with attics. The south range has one window, while the east range has two windows, all with square stone mullions, integral architraves, and chamfered cills. The windows are fitted with iron casements that have tension bars and small leaded lights. There is a continuous label over the ground floor windows, which is raised to the right of the front door.

The front doorway features a moulded stone architrave with a square head and a door with fielded panels and two top lights, dating from the 18th century. Above the door is an oversized wooden canopy with a pediment, dentil cornice, and scrolled wooden brackets, also from the 18th century. The short rear wing is constructed of rubble stone and thatch, and it is also listed. Inside, the farmhouse has a lobby-entrance plan situated in the angle between the two ranges, with flagstone floors.

Additionally, there is an attached wall and gate piers that enclose the front garden, dating from the 18th century. This includes a rubble-stone wall with stone coping, ramped at the gate-pier end, and two square stone ashlar gate piers with moulded cornices and a chamfered plinth.
