Description

Glen Cottage is a mid-19th century cottage, originally two dwellings. It has walls of dressed stone with fine lime mortar and a slate roof with gable ends. Brick stacks are positioned at the left and right hand gables. The cottage is two storeys high, with two windows featuring 3-light wooden casements with glazing bars, wooden sills, and stone voussoirs above. A plank door is located in a wooden frame, slightly left of centre. A doorway to the right centre has been carefully blocked with dressed stone. Iron railings with spear-head finials sit atop the front sleeper wall.
