Description
The Glen and attached cottage is a cottage from the early 18th century, constructed of squared, coursed limestone with a thatched roof and a brick end stack. It is two storeys high and features a two-window range with a two-unit plan. The front has a 20th-century part-glazed door and a thatched porch. The ground floor includes 20th-century two- and three-light casements, with the right window having a flat stone arch. There are also three 20th-century two-light swept dormers. Inside, there is a chamfered spine beam and an open fireplace with a timber chamfered bressumer.
Attached to the right is another cottage from the 18th century, also made of squared, coursed limestone and featuring a coped gable to the right. This cottage has a stone slate roof with a brick end stack, is two storeys tall, and has a two-window range with a two-unit plan. The right side has a 20th-century part-glazed plank door with a gabled timber porch, while the left side features a 20th-century two-light leaded casement with a wood lintel. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century two-light casements, and additional 20th-century casements on the gable ends and to the rear. The interior includes a chamfered spine beam and an open fireplace with a timber chamfered bressumer.
