Description
Glebe Cottage is an 18th-century cottage built from limestone ashlar and topped with a 20th-century tile roof. It features a large offset external stack on the left and a 19th-century brick stack on the right. The cottage is one storey plus an attic and has a three-window range with a three-unit plan. On the left side, there is a plank door with a wooden lintel, and to the left of it, a small 18th-century window with a stone lintel. In the center, there is a 20th-century casement window in a partially blocked opening with a wooden lintel, and to the right, a 19th-century cross casement window also with a wooden lintel. The front has three 20th-century dormers. The rear features three additional 18th and 19th-century two-light casements with wooden lintels and 20th-century dormers. Inside, there are two open fireplaces with chamfered timber bressumers, a chamfered spine beam, and some chamfered joists with run-out stops, as well as stone flagged floors.
