Description
Bevingtons is a house, possibly once two cottages, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone and features a thatched roof. The building has a stone end stack and brick ridge stacks, and it is one storey plus an attic with a four-window range and a four-unit plan.
At the center, there is a 20th-century gabled stone and thatch porch with a 20th-century plank door. To the left, there is a three-light, 18-pane casement window with wooden lintels. A 20th-century three-light casement window with leaded lights is located to the far left and to the right of the door. Additionally, there is a further two-light, 16-pane casement window to the right, which has a round-headed arch. The building features two swept dormers, each with two-light, 12-pane casement windows. There is also a 20th-century stone and timber range to the right.
The interior is noted for its spine beams and two large open fireplaces.
