Description

The building comprises an 18th-century house and shop, located on the east side of High Street in Stalbridge. The construction features coursed rubble walls and a tiled roof with brick end stacks. The building is divided into a shop, on the left, and a house, on the right. It has a five-window front. The shop section has a 19th-century front on the ground floor, and two leaded-light casement windows above. The house, which may have a rebuilt upper floor, displays a symmetrical three-bay design. The ground floor of the house has a central door with a pedimental hood supported by scrolled brackets. This is flanked by three-light sash windows set beneath concrete arches. Above, there are 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars.
