Description
Vera's is a shop located on Fore Street in Torpoint, dating from the late 18th century with 19th-century alterations to the windows and 20th-century changes. The building is constructed of rendered stone rubble and features a slate roof with a brick gable end stack on the right side. It has a double depth plan, with an entrance leading to a passage on the left. The front right section has been converted into a shop, which includes a former room at the rear right. The stair hall is located at the rear left. The building has three storeys and one window; the first and second floors feature paired 4-pane sash windows, with smaller windows on the second floor. The ground floor has a glazed door on the left set within a late 18th-century doorcase that includes pilasters, a frieze, and a pediment with dentils. To the right, there is a bowed shop front with plate-glass windows and a bowed fascia board, also adorned with dentils. The interior has not been inspected.
