Description
This building, located at 2 North Street, is a house with a shop that dates from the early 19th century. The front is rendered, likely over a timber frame, and designed to look like masonry. It has a slated roof that is hipped to the left and features a red-brick chimney. The building stands three storeys tall and has a three-window front facing East Street, with a two-window return to North Street.
The shop front on both sides is from the 19th century. On the right side of the East Street front, there is a 19th-century door with six flush panels arranged in two rows of three, set within a moulded architrave, alongside a two-paned sash window. The upper storey windows on East Street have eight-paned sashes, while those on North Street feature triple sashes on the second storey (with six panes in the centre and two panes on either side) and single-light sashes on the third storey (four panes over eight panes).
