Description
The Old Red Lion is an inn that has been converted into a dwelling, dating from the early 19th century. It features a stucco facade with quoins and a slate roof, rising to three storeys, although the third storey may have been added later. The facade is marked by a large arch over a carriageway. The third storey is separated by a broad band. To the left of the carriageway, there is a three-bay front that includes a canted projection with a slate roof and three sash windows that lack glazing bars. The entrance door has two lights and a moulded architrave. To the right, there is a canted bay with three sash windows. On the first floor, there are three sash windows with glazing bars and moulded architraves. To the right of the carriageway, a canted two-storey bay features sash windows without glazing bars and a projection with a slate roof and double doors. The third storey above the band has three large sash windows with glazing bars. The carriageway arch is fitted with large wooden gates. At the rear, accessible through the carriageway, are various ancillary ranges.
