Description
The Old School, dated 1832, is a building that has been converted from a school to a dwelling. It features walls made of squared coursed rubble and a slate roof with gable ends. The structure is single storey and consists of six bays. The left porch includes a pointed arch window, while the other windows are square-headed, two-light mullioned with ashlar dressings. The windows on the main range are adorned with keystones. There is a gabled porch and an end wing, with the porch also featuring a pointed arch. The gables have moulded barge boards, and there is a brick stack present. The right gable end displays an inscription. The building has undergone various 20th-century extensions and modifications, particularly to the rear facade.
