Description

The gate and gate piers to Stalbridge Park, located 12 meters northwest of the Old School, date from the 17th century, with mid-19th century gates. The gate piers are made of ashlar and feature banded rustication. They are topped with modillioned cornices and adorned with carved lion heads. The wrought iron gates have spear-headed shafts and a segmentally curved top rail. The locks, which are in a state of decay, are contemporary with the gates and display a wheatsheaf motif.
