Description
Church Hill House and April Cottage is a building that has been divided into two houses. The main part dates from the late 18th century, while the ends were added in the 19th century. The central range is made of rendered rubble with quoins and features a slate roof and brick stacks. This central section is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three symmetrical bays. It has two-light windows with moulded architraves and keystones, and there is a bulls-eye window above the central door. The door is framed by a moulded doorcase and features a six-panel door.
The right end of the building is asymmetric, with three two-light casements that have wooden lintels on the ground floor, and one similar window on the upper floor. This end also has a curved corner. The left end is smaller and includes a canted squared and coursed rubble bay window with 19th-century sash windows. The main range has dormers with leaded lights on the rear.
