Description
The Old School is a former school building, now a dwelling, dated 1839. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone and features a slate roof with brick ridge stacks. The building is a single storey with a seven-bay range and a four-unit plan.
A large gabled porch is located to the left of the centre, featuring two Tudor-arched doorways with cut spandrels. There is a datestone set in the stone-coped gable, which has kneelers. To the far right, there is a ribbed door with a segmental-arched head.
On the left side of the porch and door, there are two-light chamfered stone mullion windows, while one-light windows with chamfered stone surrounds are positioned to the left and right of the centre. All windows are topped with hood moulds. The right gable end has a pair of one-light casement windows divided by a plain stone mullion, featuring a single stepped hood mould with label stops. The interior has not been inspected.
