Description

The Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is timber-framed with a stone base, featuring brick and limestone rubble infill, and has a thatched roof with brick stacks at the ends. The building has one storey and an attic, with a two-window range and a two-unit plan. The gable end faces the street and has brick infill, with a two-light casement window on the ground floor and a similar casement in the attic. The roof is half-hipped at this end. On the right side elevation, there is a 20th-century door and two-light casement windows on the ground floor, along with similar casements and a 20th-century extension at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
