Description

Wicken Wood Cottage, also known as Number 15, is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with a brick ridge stack. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and has a four-window range arranged in a two-unit plan.

To the left of the centre, there is a blocked door that has been replaced by a two-light casement window with a wooden lintel. On the ground floor, there is a small one-light window at the far left, a three-light casement window in the centre, and a two-light casement window at the far right, all featuring wooden lintels. A central dormer window is also present. The main entrance is located at the rear of the cottage.

Attached to the left is a single-storey outbuilding that is weather-boarded and has a hipped thatch roof. The interior of the cottage is noted for its chamfered spine beams.
