Description
This row of cottages, located at 42, 44, and 46 Cross Tree Road, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble and feature a plain-tile roof with a stone ridge stack and brick flues, as well as brick end stacks. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic and consist of a four-window range. The main range has 20th-century panelled part-glazed doors on either side of the centre, topped with flat-arched heads. The ground floor has three-light casement windows, while the first floor has two-light casements, all with similar heads. The two-storey range includes three-light casements on the ground floor and two-light casements on the first floor, all featuring wooden lintels. There is an entrance located at the rear.
